Rewind, summary and history
Rewind the last 60 seconds
Ctrl+Alt+R, or , re-asks the last minute of the conversation as one question. It fixes a question that arrived in pieces, each answered on its own.
- The rewind: the last minute, asked again as one question
Jump between questions
Ctrl+Alt+[ and Ctrl+Alt+], or and in the action bar, jump to the previous and next question from the other side. The chat stops following while you read back and goes on at the latest one. Click the quote at the top of a hint to jump to what it answers.
Call summary
Ctrl+Alt+U, or , lists what was asked or discussed, what was answered or agreed, and the next steps. On a plan with credits, a summary uses credits like a hint.
- The summary
Start a new chat
Ctrl+Alt+N clears the chat and starts a new one; rewinds and hints no longer reach back into it. With "Summarise a chat when clearing it" on (Settings, then Advanced, then Chat history), the chat is summed up first. It is off by default, and it costs one more request (credits, on a plan with credits).
Chat history
Each chat is backed up on your computer as it happens, so a crash loses nothing, and nothing of it is uploaded. A backup is deleted 30 days after its chat ended; change the days, keep every chat or turn the backup off in Settings, then Advanced, then Chat history. Attached documents are kept by name only. The picture under Export and restore numbers every setting of that section. Its row opens the backups folder, and (tooltip "Delete all chat backups") at the end of that row deletes every backup: a card says how many go and that this cannot be undone, and Delete confirms it.
Export and restore
Ctrl+Alt+E, or , saves the chat to your Documents folder, in LetMeSoloIT: Markdown with its images, HTML, PDF or plain text. in Settings, then Advanced, then Chat history loads a TOML export or a chat backup back into the window, so follow-up questions, rewind and summary work on it.
, beside it, lists the chats kept, newest first, each with when it began and its first line. Tick up to 10 earlier calls, with the same company for instance, and Attach: their spoken lines go with every hint of this call, so the hints build on what was said before. The chat under way is never listed. Each hint then sends more text, so it uses more credits. The attached calls show above the input, each with Detach this earlier call to take it off again.
- The chats kept, newest first, each with when it began: tick up to 10 earlier calls
- : every hint of this call reads their spoken lines
- An attached call and its length: every hint reads it
- Detach this earlier call: takes it off again
The HTML export is one page that opens offline in any browser, in the app's look: a list of the turns jumps to each one, j and k (or the arrow keys) step between them, and a search box filters them.
Settings, then Advanced, then Chat history can also save every chat for you: Export chats automatically (on by default) writes a chat to the exports folder when it ends (it needs the backup), in the format you choose under Export format (TOML by default, the one Restore a chat reads back; Markdown, HTML, PDF, plain text or a folder of Markdown and TOML are the others). The row opens that folder, and (tooltip "Clear the exports folder") at its end deletes the chat exports in it, after the same card; your other files there stay.
- Keep a backup of each chat (on): each chat is saved on this computer as it happens, and never uploaded
- Days to keep, 0 to 3,650 (30): how long a backup is kept after its chat ended; 0 keeps every backup
- Export chats automatically (on): a chat is saved to the exports folder when it ends; this needs the backup
- The exports folder, shown under that switch: where those exports go
- Export format (TOML, to restore): TOML, Markdown, HTML, PDF, plain text, or a folder of Markdown and TOML
- Summarise a chat when clearing it (off): Clear chat first asks the model for a summary, one more request
- The row (tooltip "Open backups folder") opens the folder where the backups are kept
- at the end of the Backups row (tooltip "Delete all chat backups") deletes every backup, after a card that says how many and that this cannot be undone
- The row (tooltip "Open exports folder") opens the folder exports go to
- at the end of the Exports row (tooltip "Clear the exports folder") deletes the chat exports there, after the same card; your other files there stay
- loads a TOML export or a chat backup back into the window as the chat under way
- picks up to 10 earlier calls whose spoken lines go with every hint of this call
